// About the Organization
ATIDIM, which means Futures, is a national program developing human resources and closing the socioeconomic gaps crippling Israel’s periphery, by creating equal educational opportunities.
// Project Description
The Robophysics program offers high school students an innovative, experiential path to studying physics at the matriculation 5-unit level, integrating engineering, mathematics and technology. Students attend weekly sessions using the Robophone - a device connected to robot-control software and take part in events, skills workshops, seminars and camps. Students complete a final project earning 45% of their physics matriculation and one credit point at the Technion.
// Project Goals
Students preparing for the physics matriculation exam will benefit from innovative learning that strengthens intrinsic motivation to pursue science and engineering degrees. Participants will develop skills and capabilities to advance towards high-level academic tracks. 100% of program graduates will earn five matriculation points on their exam.
// Target Population
100 high school students who are studying advanced physics at the high school in Kiryat Gat.

// Outcomes
Exposure to academic-level studies and to inspiring role models, hands-on teamwork experience, developing critical thinking and enhancing their self-efficacy and confidence. In the long term: academy level experience and above all a gateway to higher education.
// Project Timeline
Preparation for the beginning of the year: marketing, evaluation and three hours per week teacher training before launching the program. September -June: 4 sessions throughout the year- two peek days at the Technion. October-March: seminar at the Technion, Sisterhood, Bootcamp on Passover, Hannukah seminar. Preparation for the army workshop- throughout the year.
// Budget Sustainability
The program is recognized by the Ministry of Education and is a collaboration between Atidim and Technion University. Both organizations see the program as a flagship project for a long-term partnership. If the Partnership is unable to finance the entire amount, Atidim will be forced to reduce the program's activities and look for another source of funding.
// Project establishment status
The program operates in Kiryat Gat.
