// About the Organization

Machshava Tova has been working in the periphery of Israel, using technology to bridge societal gaps by connecting disadvantaged populations to the opportunities inherent in the world of technology.

// Project Description

StartupisTeam is a two-year advanced technological program for High school students in nine & tenth grade. It builds research skills, independent learning and responsible use of AI tools while providing practical knowledge in technological entrepreneurship. Learning is project-based with weekly sessions, collaborative work, mentoring and market research leading to a social tech initiative with a feasible prototype.

 

// Project Goals

The program aims to develop 21st-century skills, provide professional and technological knowledge that supports better integration into military service and the workforce. The program will strengthen self-image and confidence, enhance soft skills and encourage lifelong learning.

 

// Target Population

The program is for High school students in nine & tenth grade. Machshava Tova operates in two groups. Each group includes between 10 - 15 participants supported by mentors and professionals. Indirect impact includes families, schools, the local community and high-tech partners.

// Outcomes

Short term expected outcomes: accessing tech knowledge, 21st-century skills, teamwork and having the students create a prototype. Long-term expected outcomes: higher confidence and motivation, stronger connection to high-tech and better opportunities for future study and employment.

// Project Timeline

July - 2025-26 closing event. September - recruitment. November - courses begin. December - personal meetings, setting goals, volunteering. February -mentors assigned and mid-project submission. April - hackathon and final project selection.

 

// Budget Sustainability

To ensure the financial sustainability of the project, Machshava Tova continuously fundraises, resulting in ongoing relationships with philanthropic foundations, private donors, businesses, government- and municipal connections who support the organization’s activities.
The organization fundraises on an ongoing basis. If the Partnership cannot fund the full amount, other funding will be sought. If not secured, fewer groups may open. The program also has a guaranteed long-term donor.
