// About the Organization
Neve Hanna offers children from dysfunctional families a home and a family environment to provide for all their physical, emotional & educational needs, helping them become independent, responsible and productive adults.
// Project Description
Neve Hanna operates a number of therapeutic programs for the youth: Ziv Neurim: a maritime program that teaches them how to grow through challenges. Petting Zoo Trustees: educating young children about animals and plants. Streetlight: combining good deeds with educational training. Children´s Council: exercising responsibility in everyday life by implementing basic democratic values. Jewish-Arab youth meetings: building a shared community.
// Project Goals
Neve Hana’s teenagers who come from a traumatic childhood, suffer from developmental gaps in all aspects of life. The different projects available for teenagers from the age of 11 are designed to make up for those shortfalls. The programs were created in order to provide tools and skills to help these teenagers integrate better into society.
// Target Population
90 children from the age of 11 and up who have been living in Neve Hanna for several years due to risks to their physical and emotional well-being at home. The development of these adolescents also influences younger children in Neve Hanna, the participant's classmates, and the immediate families.

// Outcomes
Reducing developmental gaps; promoting self-awareness, self-confidence, independence & responsibility. Acquiring skills to face challenges in adult life and fostering peaceful coexistence among different religious and ethnic groups in Israeli society.
// Project Timeline
The different groups are made up of 90 children all together. They meet once a week as part of the regular activities at the Neve Hanna children’s home. The program called Streetlight (Panas Rehov) meets twice a week. The duration of the activities is 40 weeks.
// Budget Sustainability
Neve Hanna is supported by friends’ associations providing key funding. Additional funds have come from foundations and private donors. If necessary, projects can still run by cutting costs on trips and transportation. Neve Hanna will continue to seek funding from friends and foundations. Neve Hanna is committed to provide its teens with a variety of programs. Ziv Neurim has been running for years, and is costly; a cheaper alternative with the same objectives could be considered.
// Project establishment status
The project is operating in the Partnership Region.
