Working one-on-one, the program identifies each soldier’s individual barriers in daily life and develops customized technological solutions from communication tools and adapted furniture to smart-home devices. The program restores family roles, reduces dependency on others and helps veterans rebuild their routine, confidence and create a new future.
// Project Goals
The purpose of the project is to help severely wounded soldiers regain independence and quality of life upon their return home. The program provides tailored rehabilitation solutions addressing everyday functional barriers. Tech For Heroes delivers assistive technology that helps restore daily routines, rebuild identity and reduce dependency on caregivers. The program strengthens the region by integrating injured veterans into the community and maintaining family stability.

Based on the personal needs and the rehabilitation stage every individual is at.
// Budget Sustainability
In accordance with Beit Issie Shapiro's approach: Innovate- Research- Scale, the aim is to establish Tech for Heroes as a proven and scalable service model that can be endorsed and funded by the Ministry of Defense as part of Israel’s national rehab system.
Tech for Heroes is funded 100% by philanthropy. This program is top priority in the year 2026. If the partnership will not fund the requested amount, Beit Issie Shapiro will raise funds from other donors; However, as these will not be region-specific donations, reaching the outcome in the Partnership region is not guaranteed.
// Project establishment status
Beit Issie Shapiro is in contact with local organizations working with wounded soldiers to assess needs and build referral networks to ensure full regional coverage. Once in place, the program which supports soldiers nationwide, can start operating in the region.
