// About the Organization
Empowering Ethiopian Women advances Ethiopian Israeli women, reduces educational and economic gaps and promotes full inclusion through programs in education, leadership, employment and resilience.
// Project Description
The project offers a facilitated 12-session group workshop combining experiential activities and practical tools. The workshops enable an open dialogue and reflection in a safe and supportive weekly setting. Participants build self-confidence and emotional resilience. They encounter female leadership, identity and community connection through skill-building exercises, guided discussions and personal sharing. The women in the group meet inspiring role models and create a personal action plan.
// Project Goals
The purpose of the program is to strengthen the personal, emotional and community resilience of Ethiopian Israeli women in Kiryat Gat through a structured group process that builds self-awareness and coping tools for life challenges and discrimination. The program introduces the women to female leadership and anchors feelings of empowerment, belonging, identity and heritage.
// Target Population
The project is meant to serve 15–20 Ethiopian Israeli women from the age of 18+, from Kiryat Gat who are dealing with challenges regarding resilience, welfare, discrimination or employment. Indirectly the program is expected to impact the families of the participants and wider circles.

// Outcomes
Expected short-term outcomes include an increase in the participants’ self-awareness and self-confidence. Another expected outcome is seeing a noticeable improvement in their coping skills and a reduced feeling of isolation. Long-term outcomes include sustained personal resilience and ongoing peer support. Having stronger community connections and enhancing their goal-setting capacity.
// Project Timeline
July–September 2026: community outreach, recruitment and selecting participants. October–December 2026 post–High Holidays: 12 weekly facilitated group sessions. January 2027: follow-up, feedback and program summary.
// Budget Sustainability
The organization intends to sustain the program through philanthropic support. The program model is flexible and modular, enabling adaptation and continuity.
If the request is not fully funded, the project will seek complementary philanthropic funding. If needed, program scope may be adjusted including the number of sessions and guest lecturers, while maintaining core content and overall quality of the program.
