// About the Organization
Since 2015, Latet Pe has been dedicated to promoting safety and emotional resilience, among children and youth. We specialize in developing and facilitating unique educational programs.
// Project Description
The program fosters safety and resilience using a community model: workshops for parents and staff, as well as joint parent-child sessions to strengthen bonds. Elementary children attend a musical-theatrical show on the topic, while costum made workshops run in informal education. This continuum empowers children and youth providing them with tools to build resilience, identify risks and seek help when needed.
// Project Goals
The purpose of the project is to promote safety and resilience among children, youth, parents and staff. The goals are to improve adult capacity and provide practical tools to identify risk factors. To encourage open dialogue and seeking of help, to define within the community a clear terminology regarding child sexual abuse prevention and to enhance children’s safety.
// Target Population
The target population: parents, staff, children & youth. Participants: ~8,000 directly. Indirect impact: Families, schools and the wider community in Kiryat Gat, Shafir and Lachish who are exposed to the safety terminology and language.

// Outcomes
Expected short-term outcomes: parents and staff receive communication methods on how to approach the topic, youth become aware and proactive, there is an increase in help-seeking and early identification. In the long term: reduced risk behaviors, a community shared clear terminology regarding child sexual abuse prevention and improved personal & community resilience in times of crisis.
// Project Timeline
July-Aug 26: Preparation, coordinating with authorities, recruitment. Sept-Oct 26: Marketing in schools, launching the program. Nov 26-May 27: Ongoing workshops for children, parents & staff. June 27: Closing events, feedback, end of the year summery.
// Budget Sustainability
Sustainability relies on local authorities and the ‘Gefen’ school budgets. Latet Pe invests in the quality of the program to ensure beneficiaries satisfaction, so that schools and authorities will choose to continue funding the activity from their own budgets in the future.
Latet Pe is a recognized vendor in the 'Gefen' system. If the Partnership will not fund the full requested sum, schools might need to increase their participation via their Gefen budget. Alternatively Lete Pe will have to scale down activities to match the available funds.
// Project establishment status
Latet Pe maintain ongoing contact with the local authorities. Once feasible, the organization will launch together with the Municipality a wider initiative to implement the program across many more educational and community settings.
