The educational psychological service promotes the well-being and mental health of all students in the education system, through the therapeutic and systemic work of psychologists and therapists.
// Project Description
The project provides psychotherapy for students of the city of Kiryat Gat. The sessions will be for one hour once a week and if necessary, will be accompanied by counseling for the child's parents and the school staff.
// Project Goals
The project’s goal is to provide psychotherapeutic assistance for children and families at risk.
// Target Population
Approximately fifty families will receive a total of about 1150 hours of treatment ( approximately 150 children and parents) who are experiencing emotional distress or functional difficulties.
// Outcomes
Reducing emotional distress and improving emotional, social and behavioral functioning of the treated children. Evident improvement of social skills and emotional regulation.
// Project Timeline
Therapeutic treatment will take place between July 2026 till the end of June 2027
// Budget Sustainability
Long-term financial sustainability beyond the partnership funding period, will be ensured through Municipal funding within the Educational Psychology Service.
If the partnership will not fund the full requested sum, the Therapeutic Center will provide services to fewer children and families.
